Dodge should just stop making Challengers and come up with a better scheme cuz the acceleration along with the weight and Handling makes for ROADKILL. The new mustang GT gets another 100+ hp outta the new 5.0, which makes for 435 off the dyno, new brimbo brake package, its chasey is execptional and thats outta the factory. You drop its balls and tune it to your likings its gona beast on its comp all day.
Ha ha…please. Mustangs are trash. Period. The only Mustang worth owning is the Shelby Cobra and they had to supercharge it to get any sort of real power out of it. Sauce Captain is right…everytime these cars are compared there’s a different winner. Sorry sorry sorry Mustangs.
It’s funny how these guys can never make up their minds. Every time they compare these three cars a different car wins. Just a year ago they SS Camaro won every comparo it was in and the the challenger got last place. Now it’s in second with the mustang on top. Next year the challenger gets a bigger Hemi with close to 500 Hp so they might change their minds again. All three of these are fantastic cars so it comes down to splitting hairs to decide a winner.
This proves once again unless its a vette or cadillac from Gm or a viper from Chrysler they dont have shit.people focus too much on what cars use to do rather than what they do now

Well, you are wrong. Quite wrong. Get with the times, the 2010 GT is not the 2011 GT. Simple fact of the matter the 2011 GT spanks the 2010 (and 2011) Camaro SS (in both auto and stick forms)

Please…Mustangs are trash. My dad has a 5.7L Hemi Magnum and it smokes GT Mustangs all day. I have a 5.7L Hemi Ram 1500 and GT Mustangs struggle to beat me in a drag race. My father-in-law has a 2010 Camaro SS with the 6.2L V8. I hate Chevy’s but this car is a monster. I have personally driven the Camaro and there is no GT Mustang stock…5.0L or not that could compare to the SS Camaro. they claim 4.7 sec 0-60…no way…4.5 on a poor start. This video is CLEARLY a Ford biased video…clearly.
I find this hilarious, C&D total screwed up the 6M gear ratios in their report for the SS. They have the 1st gear ratio at 3.01 and 2nd at 2.07… according to C&D the Camaros 4th gear is a 1.00:1 and 5th and 6th is overdrive.. Great research C&D, the SS is known for its steep 1st gear and 3.01 is not steep… lol, what a screw up….

Too bad John Lingenfelter went over 254 mph approx. 22 years ago. For the young people that don’t know their history, it was called the Sledgehammer. I was 18 and a car enthusiast at the time so I have the magazines. It was an amazing feat even by todays standards and the car was 100% streetable with A/C. It was a factory chassis with everything from bose system, power windows to A/C.
@RoidinRichie I believe you are looking at an old list. The CCX is ranked 4th behind the Saleen S7 TT on the 2009-2010 list. The SSC Ultimate Aero is 1st and it used a Chevy 6.35 liter V8 engine for the 2007 Guiness record. I believe it was a modified corvette engine.
@Krobb350 well the Swedish people over at Koenigsegg who’ve made the 3rd fastest car in the world, the CCR, based their motor on a Ford V8, so yeah I’d say so.

@Krobb350 Cause chevy parts are cheap. I have a friend that went that route as wlel. After the 3rd rebuild he finally decided to go the right way. NOTHING can compare to a Ford small block.

True the Ford 9 inch is a great piece but how come I see so many older Ford cars with sbc’s powering them? Chevy must be doing something right for Ford guys to use Chevy engines.
